Topic Statement

American families don’t know enough about where their food is from, how it’s made, and how it affects their health and the environment. This thesis project targets price conscious American families with working parents, and will demonstrate how families can quickly and easily access everything the Slow Food movement has to offer, such as local, sustainable produce and proteins, recipes, and meals. The project will consist of a well-designed U.S. chain of markets and cafes promoting a Slow Food ethos that connects families to local produce, proteins, and prepared foods made with Slow Food ingredients.
